Established in 1993, Business Applications Co., Ltd. (BAC) was then a dealer of
Platinum software products with exclusive distributor rights for Thailand market.
Since then, BAC has proven itself to be extremely successful in penetrating
the PC LAN market with Platinum software. In its first two years of operations,
BAC marketed to and installed over 100 customer sites and continued its rapid business
growth. As Business Intelligence (BI) tools become a crucial element in any organization’s
strategy - allowing them to gain invaluable
insights, make informed decisions, and identify emerging threats through
advanced reporting and analysis, BAC responded
to market needs by partnering with Cognos in 1997. As Cognos’ exclusive distributor
in Thailand, BAC has a dedicated, professional team marketing products like Impromptu
and PowerPlay.
With industry-leading BI and Performance Management solutions from Cognos, and BAC’s
pursuit of excellence, the company has been able to double its growth every year. There
are now over 250 companies with more than 5,000 users on Cognos solutions
in Thailand. BAC customers come from both public and private, such as
banking and insurance, consumer
products, food and beverage, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals,
among others. Sharing Cognos’ vision to be the leading independent provider of Performance
Management solutions, BAC took a
major step by focusing its business solely on Cognos.
With all its resources channeled towards Cognos, BAC now has a strengthened team
to cover the fast growing BI market.
